American Axle & Manufacturing Develops I-Ride Module For the Cadillac Sixteen Concept vehicle

American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings, Inc. (AAM), which is traded as AXL on the NYSE, today announced that it designed and manufactured the rear-steer I-Ride(TM) chassis module for the Cadillac Sixteen concept vehicle unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan on January 5, 2003.

The innovative rear-steer I-Ride chassis module integrates into a complete driveline system with an independent rear differential, sub-frame and aluminum control arm knuckles. The module was designed to provide the Cadillac with a quiet ride, enhanced maneuverability, and superior high-speed handling.
